Desc: Overview: Perform visual inspections on a variety of purchased items such as raw material, electrical, electronic and mechanical components and assemblies. Review material certifications to assure compliance to customer/company specifications and requirements. Perform visual inspections on a variety of purchased items such as raw material, electrical, electronic and mechanical components and assemblies. Inspect raw stock, paints, sealants, castings, forging, connectors, junction boxes, wire and other received items for proper identification, shipping damage, configuration and compliance to applicable Engineering procurement specifications. Use specialized inspection instruments such as micrometers, calipers, scales and hardness testing equipment to inspect received items for compliance to applicable. Engineering procurement specifications. Work from quality procedures and instructions, purchase orders, manufacturing requirements, sample plans, company and customer specifications and procedures and oral instructions. Stamp and approve acceptable items and write description of defects for corrective action, repairs for parts not meeting acceptable criteria. Originate and maintain documentation necessary for operation. Work with and assist lower classified inspectors as required. Ensure current calibration status on all measuring equipment. Take samples from -10°F freezer and submit with necessary paperwork to Quality Control laboratory for analysis and/or rejection. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will typically have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience. Requires computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with SAP and Fortis desireable
