Title: Dachshund/Chihuahua needs new home

Desc: I am a current grad student and I have found my schedule does not allow me to give proper care to my puppy. His name is Sam, and he is almost one year old. He is a loving, friendly dog, if a bit protective of his owner (a trait of dachshunds). He will do well with an individual or couple, but he does not deal well with young children.
He also has a sensitive stomach but that is easy to deal with by getting food at any pet store for sensitive stomachs.
He needs more training - he is mostly house broken, but since my roommate got a new puppy, he has gone a bit backwards in his training because the new puppy goes everywhere in the house.
I have a winter coat for him (the weather here is too cold for his short hair) that goes with him, along with a dog bed and crate. He is up on all shots, but needs to be fixed. I hate having to give him up, I love this dog so much, but I think he will be happier with a new home where someone can be around much more than I can. Let me know if you are interested - and only real interest please. He will require a bit of work, and you must be willing to do that. He's totally worth it!
