Desc: Seer Farms is a non-profit animal sanctuary in Jackson, NJ. We provide temporary foster care for animals whose families are experiencing a crisis -- foreclosure, eviction, hospitalization, rehab, overseas deployment, imprisonment, natural disaster, etc.
We are seeking a part-time Kennel Assistant to work as follows:
Days and Hours. The Kennel Assistant will work between 20-24 hours per week, days and specific times to be negotiated with the Executive Director.
Functions and Duties. The Kennel Assistant shall perform the following functions and duties:
A. Animal Care – Care and maintenance of all cats and other small animals in Seer Farms’ care, including the following:
1. Clean and sanitize all cat kennels and cages daily
2. Change all litter boxes daily
3. Regularly clean and sanitize walls and floors, windows and doors
4. Regularly clean and sanitize common areas
5. Feed animals regularly according to the written feeding procedure
6. Ensure animals have water at all times
B. Property Care
1. Laundry
2. Keeping the grounds tidy
C. Other. The Kennel Assistant may perform other functions agreed upon by the Kennel Assistant and Seer Farms.
Compensation. The Kennel Assistant shall be paid $9 per hour. Any work done in excess of 24 hours per week shall be deemed volunteer work.
