Desc: I am a qualified tutor with a bachelor's degree in music wanting to start tutoring in Nixa. I specialize in percussion (everything from jazz and rock drumset to orchestra and marching band), however I am also well educated in piano and vocal methods. I started taking piano lessons myself when I was six, and I haven't stopped learning and picking up several new instruments since.
Tutoring will be in-home (my home or yours) until this picks up enough that I can get a studio. I have a drumset, congas, bongos, and other percussion instruments that are fun to learn on, along with an electric keyboard and pedal.
I am willing to teach children learning their first instrument through adults wanting to take up a new hobby. With children under 10 I not only strongly encourage, but require parental involvement in the learning process. Children don't feel comfortable with their skills until their parents are, and therefore, won't care about developing their skills.
