Desc: I am currently fostering this extremely loving dog. His previous owner didn't live in a consistent home and as a result, neither has Cope. When I met him, he was largely underweight and covered with oil blotches. I couldn't live with the thought of her taking such an innocent and compassionate dog to the pound. This dog is the most loving dog I've met and I've met plenty. Surely, it is because he is looking for someone to love him just the way he loves everyone else.
Cope is a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Labrador mix. He is about 2 1/2 years old and was just recently neutered. As a result, is in need of some new socialized training. He is ready and willing to listen and love from a consistent owner - a very loyal companion. He is true to his breed in that he is a protector. Cope would be a great family dog in a single dog home with no cats. *Great for new families looking for that special loyal friend and watch dog*. By protector, I do not mean "attacker". Cope is more directly a "watch dog" and will notify his owner of anything suspicious. The most valuable quality of this special dog is that he truly cares for his owner and family. He is also very well trained in doors. If left for long periods of time, he rests and does not chew, bark, claw, etc. Obeys commands such as "sit" and "shake". Cope is up-to-date on all vaccinations.
