Three artisan spring-fed ponds support great numbers of largemouth bass, channel catfish, hybrid striped bass, crappie, bluegill, and at $15/day per (immediate) family and only $7/day for individuals this is an inexpensive way to build lasting memories.
Country Cove Village works hard to make sure our picturesque setting (nestled into the Hocking Hills 1800hocking.com) is well set-up for maximum, child-friendly fun. An on-site bait and tackle shop offers the staples (live bait, fishing rods and reels, hooks, sinkers, bobbers, etc..
While there are plenty of big fish in these local waters, it's all about catch-and-release. The biggest "trophy" of all is the chance to make your way to the bait shop for a digital portrait of your child and their big fish.
Children's Fishing Tournaments are held the 2nd Saturday of the month (April - September). A nominal $8 entrance charge (per child) can make for some great stories around the dinner table. The facility is open April 1, 2009 – Oct. 19, 2009, and regular events make this season go fast. The Tournaments will happen when 10 or more children sign-up. Bring a Child fishing today!
