Desc: I am a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and have been in the Accounting Industry for 12 years and am featured on their website. I started working for an Accounting firm 12 years ago as a secretary. I then moved up to bookkeeping, then management. After I had my daughter, I then started a business teaching QuickBooks to business owners in the Collier and Lee county areas in Florida. I was very successful in that these last 6 years up until 2008. Due to the economy, less people have time or money for the classes and more are requiring one on one training or help in their offices. I have always offered those services but have solely focused on that area for the last year. I am trained in every edition and version of QB and can train on any feature.
The most common problem I see when traveling to a business when looking at the books is erroneous posting to the chart of accounts. In essence, this means you are 80% of the time losing tax deductions or overstating accounts due to incorrect use of the QB software program which means you are probably paying higher taxes than you should be. When you take your books to your Accountant at the end of the year for tax preparation, your Accountant expects you (the business owner) to know how to use the program and maintain accurate bookkeeping. Therefore, they don’t research an account that may be called “Miscellaneous” (as an example) and in most cases, a lot of those transaction in that account can be re-posted and then become tax deductible. Your Accountant doesn’t get paid to do bookkeeping they are paid to prepare your taxes based off of what you give them. They take t just how you give it
I can help and assist in that area as I have worked closely with my father who is a CPA in Naples, Florida. I know how the books should look and how they should be set up so in the end, you save money by allocating accounts properly and training on proper use of certain features within QB.
I offer all of my clients up to 30% off on any feature used within QB or any program purchased. Whether it’s online banking, payroll features, merchant card services, online backup services, any service that QuickBooks can do for you I will get you a discount on.
I charge a fee of 75$/hr and a travel time fee of 75$/hr. If you are interested in services on a weekly basis, I can perform certain duties in my own home office or locate to yours for an agreed upon fee depending on the type of services needed. Payment is accepted in the form of cash or check and is due upon services rendered at the time of scheduling the appointment.
